Devoted dog lovers tend to be very kind people. They see their pooches as lovely families, and love to share what they got, human food is one kind. But is there really nothing wrong with sharing people's foods with our canine pals?

Not really.

Dogs and humans metabolize foods differently. What’s fine on us may make it an emergency to your pooches. And some may be healthy or safe to be occasional treats.

From fruits to pantry items, this article offers you an overview of common human foods and whether your dog can eat them or not.

Can dog eat Carrots

Both raw and cooked carrots are safe for your dog to eat. There are rich vitamins, minerals, and fiber in carrots, which healthy for your dog to snack on.

Can dog eat Garlic, Onions & Chives

You shouldn’t feed your dog these no matter what form they’re in. These vegetables and herbs can lead to red blood cells and cause anemia.

Can dog eat Mushrooms

Do not give any amount of alcohol to your dog. Alcoholic beverages and foods containing alcohol can cause vomiting, diarrhea, and other side effects, even coma or death in extreme cases.

Can dog drink Milk

It depends. Some dogs are lactose-intolerant and can’t digest them well. While your dog is OK with them, you should be cautious with the drinking amount and make sure if there are any symptoms of lactose-intolerant.

Can dog drink Tea & Coffee & Other Caffeinated

Absolutely NO. caffeine is extremely dangerous to dogs. Your dog might experience mild to severe discomforts and weakness.

Proteins

Can dog eat Almonds

Dogs shouldn’t eat almonds. Although almonds aren’t toxic, dogs cannot digest them as humans do. Almond is heavily high in salt and fat like many packaged nuts, which can cause increased water retention or even heart disease. It also can be a choking hazard.

Can dog eat Raw Meat/Fish

Not recommended. Raw meat and fish contain parasites such as Salmonella and E. coli which can lead to food poisoning. Risks always exist if taking raw fresh. Seasoned fish is also not good for dogs, but plainly cooked is fine.

Can dog eat Eggs

Yes, for eggs. Eggs are perfectly safe and nutritious for dogs to eat as long as they are fully cooked. However, you should avoid feeding your dog raw eggs, too many bacteria in there.

Grains

Can dog eat Rice

For sure. Dogs can eat plain and cooked rice. It’s easy for dogs to digest, so you can feed on its own or combine it with other foods.

Can dog eat Potatoes

Yes, dogs can eat plainly cooked potatoes. But your dog can only have small amounts, otherwise, large quantities may cause dogs to gain weight, and trigger other health issues.

Can dog eat Raw Yeast Dough

Can’t eat. Raw yeast dough is definitely not food for dogs. Yeast cells will produce alcohol as they ferment, which risk your dog well-being. As dough expands in dogs’ stomachs, they may experience severe bloating.
